Useful information

In this guide, we’ll provide you with all the information you need for your stay with us, from getting the most from your time in Samos, all the way through to your checkout.

Samos is a Greek island in the eastern Aegean Sea, south of Chios, north of Patmos and the Dodecanese, and off the coast of western Turkey, from which it is separated by the 1.6-kilometre (1.0 mi)-wide Mycale Strait. It is also a separate regional unit of the North Aegean region.

If you are arriving earlier than this please get in touch – if we don’t have any departing guests we may be able to accommodate you.

Accordion Content

Before you arrive, we’ll provide you with an access code for our electronic lock. This will allow you to check yourself into the property. Keep an eye out for the access code in your inbox one week before arrival.

Please ensure you have the access code before you travel. If you haven’t received it before you leave, please get in touch. There’s nothing worse than arriving somewhere new (potentially at night!) and not being able to get in! We want to make your check-in as easy as possible.

To get into the property simply:

enter the 4-digit code
press the # button on the bottom right of the pad.
You’ll hear the lock open. You can then take the key for the front door and the key for the apartment.

The airport is Aristarhos Airport in Pythagorio, 15 km from Samos town.

We’ve mapped out driving directions from the airport to Apellou apartments. Find them here.

Unfortunately, there are very limited public transport links between the airport and Samos town. We’d highly recommend renting a car for the time you’re with us. There are a range of car hire service

They are four ports on Samos island.

There is plenty of parking space near the apartments.

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it’s home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence!

Specifically, between the hours of 11pm and 8am noise should be kept to a minimum.

Although we love animals, pets are not allowed in our hotel. The only exceptions are certified service dogs.

This is a non-smoking property. Please do not smoke inside the room. Feel free to smoke on the balcony but remember to keep the area clean and free from cigarette butts!

Free WI-FI Internet connection:

Scan the qr code witch is on the wall to get free WiFi access

The aircon can be controlled using the remote that’s on the wall.

We always maintain the temperature at around 19C – 21C, and it shouldn’t be necessary to adjust it beyond that range.

Please ensure all doors and windows are closed whilst it is running otherwise it will not operate efficiently.

The beds have been freshly made up for your stay and there are towels in the bathrooms. There are  pillows in the cupboard.

Twice a week the housekeeping will  change your sheets and bring you new towels. We respect the environment so, if you’d prefer they didn’t change your sheets, we’d be a-ok with that! (It’s entirely your choice, however.)

Garbage and recycling are collected every day

You will find the fire extinguisher in your room next to the side door.

Please familiarise yourself with the instructions so that, if you need to use it, you can do so instantly. There is a label next to the extinguisher which clearly explains the (simple) operation.
